A warm welcome...
To our selection of footpaths and bridleways in this region of the Upper Thames.
All the walks are based in an area bordered by Cricklade, Fairford, Lechlade and Highworth, with the River Thames running broadly through the centre.
The Thames Path National Trail is probably the best known of all the paths. But there's also a network of less well known, but equally impressive footpaths and bridleways criss-crossing the area and connecting many of the local villages.
The terrain is mainly flat with the odd hillock. Some paths are quite short and whilst others can be 'joined up' to provide a challenge for the more adventurous. And when deciding on your itinerary, you may even wish to include a visit to a watering-hole, either in the middle or at the end of your walk.
In any event, we hope you find this resource useful and that it enhances your experience when walking in our area.
